AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING CHAPTERS 11.12.060 (i)
AND 11.04. 572 TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBIT-
ING THE REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL MARKINGS
ON VEHICLE TIRES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.12.060 (i) of the Municipal Code is
added to read as follows:
11.12.060 Violation.
(i) To erase any traffic control marking legally placed
on the tires of any vehicle, which marking is used for the purpose
of identifying vehicles parked beyond the maximum legal parking
time fixed for parking in the particular parking space.
That Section 11.04.572 of the Municipal Code is added
to read as follows:
11.04.572 Violation.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions
of Section 11.04.570.
(a) To erase any traffic control marking legally placed on
the tires of any vehicle, which marking is used for the purpose
of identifying vehicles parked beyond the maxin~m legal parking
time fixed for parking in the particular parking space.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 4th day of January, 1971, by the
following vote:
