AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 11.04.791 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A SPEED
LIMIT ON SOUTH REAL ROAD.
WHEREAS, a survey showed that 85 per cent of the traffic
was driving at 40 miles per hour, and
WHEREAS, due to the width of the road and the cross streets
and peculiar hazards, it is recommended that all of South Real Road
between Ming Avenue and Wilson Road be rezoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.791 of the Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
11.04.791. Speed limit on South Real Road. A prima facie speed
limit of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby determined and declared
to be the prima facie speed at which vehicles may travel on Real
Road from Ming Avenue to the southerly city limits.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of November, 1970, by the
following vote;
