AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIHLD
AMENDING SECTION 11.04.755 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT ON 0SWELL
STREET.
~HBRBAS, since the speed zone was originally established on
Oswell Street, numerous businesses and residences have been established
adjacent to this street, and
WHEREAS, there have also been additional intersections opened
up, a freeway interchange and a traffic signal installed.
NOW, THERBFQRB, BB IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.755 of the Municipal Code is amended to
read as follows:
11.04.755 Speed limit on Oswell Street. A prima facie speed
limit of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby determined and declared
to be the prima facie speed at which vehicles may travel on Oswell
Street between Bernard Street and Columbus Avenue.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of November, 1970, by the
following vote:
