AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 2.04.010 "TIME
AND PLACE OF MEETINGS" OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
BY CHANGING THE TIMES AND DATES OF COUNCIL
MEETINGS WHEN A LEGAL HOLIDAY FALLS ON A
MONDAY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 2.04.010 of the Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
2.04.010 Time and place of meetings established. The regular
meetings of the City Council of the City of Bakersfield shall be held
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Truxtun Avenue between
Chester Avenue and "I" Street, in said city, at eight p. m., on
Monday of each week throughout the year except when Monday shall be
a legal holiday; provided, however, that the council may, from time
to time by resolution, change the number of meetings to be held during
any specified period of time.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of February, 1971, by the
following vote:
