AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission,
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for
the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located north of 178
Freeway right-of-way between the existing corporate boundary and
Morning Drive extension, known as AUBURN #2 Annexation, in an R-3-MH-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural Design-Mobile Home
Park) Zone, in an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural
Design) Zone, and in a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design) Zone,
upon the annexation of said property to the4City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described
as follows:
To an R-3-MH-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Mobile Home Park-
Architectural Design)~ or more restrictive, Zone:
The SW~ of the SE~ of Section 13, T29S, R28E,
M.D.B.M.
EXCEPTING therefrom the NW~.
To an R-3-D .(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural Design),
or more restrictive~ Zone:
The easterly 523.5 feet of the NF~4 of the NF~4
of the NW~ of Section 24, T29S, R28E, M.D.B.M.
EXCEPTING that portion which lies southerly of
the north right-of-way line of Route 178 Freeway.
To a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design)~ or more restrictive
Zone:
PARCEL ~/1:
The south 735 feet of the SEt of the SEt of
Section 13, T29S, R28E, M.D.B.M.
PARCEL f/2:
The NE~4 of Section 24, T29S, R28E, M.D.B.M.
EXCEPTING that portion which lies southerly
of the north right-of-way line of Route 178 Freeway.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 18th day of January, 1971, by the follow-
ing vote:
