AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF EISSLER STREET
AND AUBURN STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions, of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northeast corn.er of Eissler Street and Auburn Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the reco~m~tendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which~property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(Single Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-I~CH
(Single Family Dwelling - Church), or more
restrictive, Zone, of that certain property in
the City of Bakersfield located on the north-
east corner of Eissler Street and Auburn Street,
being more particularly described as follows:

That portion of the SE~ of Section 14, T29S,
R28E, M.D.B.M., in the County of Kern, State
of California, according to the Official Plat
thereof, described as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of the SW~ of said
SEt; thence S 89a 16'30" W, along the southerly
boundary line of said Section 14, a distance of
661.0 feet to the SW corner of the SE~ of the
SW~ of the SE~ of said Section 14; thence N
0°01'30'' W, along the westerly boundary line of
the SE~ of the SW~ of the SE~ of said Section 14,
a distance of 334.99 feet; thence N 89a 16'30" E,
661.0 feet to the easterly boundary line of said
SW~ of the SE~ of said Section 14; thence S 0°
01'30" E, along the last mentioned boundary line,
334.99 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING
THEREFROM street right-of-way.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of March, 1971, by the follow-
