HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1919 ORDINANCE NO. 1919 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY.OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning COLmL~ission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of the motion and the recorf~f~endation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located between Park Stockdale and California Avenue and bounded on the north by ~ity boundary and on the south by Van Horn Elementary School, known as California No. 3 Annexation, to an R-1-Hosp (Single Family Dwelling - Hospital), or more restrictive, Zone; to an R-2-D (Two Family Dwelling - Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone; to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone~ to-aC-1-D (Limited Commercial - Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone; and to a C-O-D (Professional Office - Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: To an R-1-Hosp (Single Family Dwelling - Hospital), or more restrictive~ Zone: Beginning at the most northerly corner of Tract No. 3122, as shown on map recorded in Book 18 of Maps, at page 185, Official Records of Kern County, Cali- fornia, said point being also on the southeasterly right-of-way line of the Carrier Canal; thence S 31° 33' 37" E, 200?63 feet and S 00° 15' 12" E, 634.41 feet, on and along the east line of said tract, to the point of intersection with the centerline of Lennox Avenue; thence N 89° 44' 48" E, on and along the easterly prolongation of said centerline, 235.00 feet~ thence S 00° 15' 12" E, 395.62 feet; thence N 89 44' 48" E, 948.23 feet to a point on a non- tangent curve, concave to the southeast, having a radius of 3105 feet, from which the radial point of said curve bears S 71° 47' 09" E, thence north- erl~f on and along said curve, through a central ang'le of 9° 26' 05", an arc distance of 511.29 feet; thence N 62° 21' 04" W, 420.00 feet to the begin- ning of a tangent curve, concave to the northeast, having a radius of 1000 feet; thence northerly, on and along said curve, through a central angle of' 40° 00' 00", an arc distance of 698.13 feet; thence N 22° 21' 04" W to the southeasterly right-of-way line of the aforementioned Carrier Canal; thence southwesterly, on and along last named right-of-way to the point of beginning.
