HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1924 ORDINANCE NO. 1924 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2412 SOUTH CHESTER AVENUE. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known as 2412 SOUTH CHESTER AVENUE; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change should be authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Changing the zoning boundaries from a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone and from an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known as 2412 South Chester Avenue, being more particularly described as follows: Those portions of the SW~ of SE~ of SE~ of NW~, and the SE~ of SW~ of SE~ of NW~ of Section 7, T30S, R28E, M.D.B.M. that lies easterly of the easterly right-of-way line of South Chester Avenue.
