AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 801 SOUTH "H" STREET.
WHEiREAS, in 'accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 801 South "H" Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on f~le, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and 'made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone to
a C-1-D (Limited Co~mL~ercial-Architectural
Design), or more restrictive, Zone of that
certain property in the City of Bakersfield
commonly known as 801 South "H" Street, being
more particularly described as follows:
The east 155 feet of the north 150 feet of-Lot
33 in Section 1, T30S, R27E, M.D.M., in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, according to the Kern County
Sales Map No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin,
filed in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County on May 3, 1889. The northeast
corner of said Lot 33, for pucposes of this
description, being-~where~' the center line of
Belle Terrace intersects with the centerline
of South "H" Street.
EXCEPTING those portions that lie within the
right-of-way of Belle Terrace and South "H"
Street.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 29th day of March, 1971, by the follow-
ing vote:
