AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT
CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 3900 THROUGH 4020 SOUTH
REAL ROAD AND 3700 THROUGH 3860 MARJAL AVENUE.
W~REAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 3900 through 4020 South Real Road and 3700 through 3860 Marjal
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural
Design) Zone to an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling),
or more restrictive, Zone, of that certain property
commonly known as 3900 through 4020 South Real
Road and 3700 through 3860 Marjal Avenue, being
more particularly described as follows:
Ail of lots 3 through 8, Tract No. 3201; and Lots
59 through 71, Tract No. 3201, City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, as per map
recorded in Book 18, Pages 41 and 42 on Septem-
ber 15, 1969, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of May, 1971, by
the following vote:
