AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 11.04.796
TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A
SPEED LIMIT ON WHITE LANE, BETWEEN WIBLE
AND STINE ROAD.
WHEREAS, the portion of White Lane which extends west from
Wible to Stine Road is currently a rural type road with a speed
limit of 65 miles per hour;
WHEREAS, due to some housing being built and new cross
streets opening up, it is recommended this section of White Lane be
rezoned to 45 miles per hour, which speed limit will coincide with
the rest of White Lane east of Wible Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.796 of the Municipal Code is added to
read as follows:
11.04.796 Speed limit on White Lane between Wible and Stine Road.
A prima facie speed limit of 45 miles per hour is hereby determined
and declared to be the prima facie speed at which vehicles may
travel on White Lane .between Wible and Stine Road.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is to become effective thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the ~lst day of June, 1971, by the following
