AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 11.04.754 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE (SPEED LIMIT ON UNIVERSITY
AVENUE EAST FROM HALEY TO THE CITY LIMITS).
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.754 of the Municipal Code is amended
to read as follows:
11.04.754 Speed Limit on University Avenue From The East
Prolongation of Haley Street East to The City Limits. A prima
facie speed of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby determined and
declared to be the prima facie speed at which vehicles may travel
on University Avenue from the prolongation of the east curbline
of Haley Street east to the city limits.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of t~he City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of September, 1971,
by the following vote:
