HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 1997 ORDINANCE NO. 1997 NEW SERIES A}] ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE MI~ICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY KNOWN AS 18 SOUTH CHESTER AVENUE AND 1424 - 1428 RICHLAND STREET. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield co~Lm~only known as 18 South Chester Avenue and 1424 - 1428 Richland Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change should be authorized. NOW~, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Changing the zoning boundaries from a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone to a C-2-D (Commercial- Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known as 18 South Chester Avenue and 1424 - 1428 Richland Street, being more particularly described as follows: Lots 10 and 11, Block "B", Virginia Tract, City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, as per Map recorded January 25, 1923, in Map Book 3, Page 70, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County. o0o- I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of March, 1972, by the following vote: .'i~YES: COUNCILMEN 9LEECKER, HEISEY, MEDDERS, REES, RUCKER, THOMAS, WHITTEMORE NOES: ............
