A.N ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located north and
south of Ming Avenue and between Akers Road on the west and the
existing City Limits on the east and west: of US Highway 99 and
southerly of Ming Avenue, known as Ming No. 5 Annexation, to an R-2-P
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Automobile Parking), Zone; to a
C-1-D (Limited Commercial - Architectural Design), Zone; and to a
C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design), Zone, upon the annexation
of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries Of which
property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of
this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows:
To an R-2-P (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling -
Automobile Parking)~ Zone:
All of Lot 23 in Tract No. 2720, recorded on June
15, 1962, in Book 12 of Maps, Page 197 in the Office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern.
To a C-1-D (Limited Commercial - Architectural
Design)~ Zone:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the SE~ of
Section 2, T30S, R27E, M~D.B.M.; thence north
along the west line of said SE~ to the south line
of Tract No. 2833, recorded on March 22, 1963,
in Book 13 of Maps, Page 137, in the Office of
the County Recorder of the County of Kern; thence
S 89°22'08'' E, a distance of 453.32 feet~ to the
southeast corner of Lot 1 of said Tract No. 2833;
thence S 0°00'08" E, a distance of 200.11 feet to
the south line of said SE~; thence N 89°22'38'~
along said south line to the Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING the right-of-way within Ming Avenue.
To a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design),
~Zone:
Ali. of Lot 27 in Tract No. 2720, recorded on June
15, 1962, in Book 12 of Maps, Page 197 in the
Office of the County Recorder of the County of
Kern.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 8th day of May, 1972, by the following
vote:
