AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 420 - 34th STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 420 - 34th Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(Single Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-1-Hosp.
(Single Family Dwelling - Hospital)_,.or more
restrictive, Zone of that certain property in
the City of Bakersfield commonly known as
420 - 34th Street, being more particularly
described as follows:
Portion of the NE~ of Section 19, T29S, R28E,
M.D.B.M., being more particularly described
as follows: Beginning at a point on north line
of 34th Street 41.25 feet east of the southeast
corner Block 630 of City of Bakersfield~ thence
N 0°16'20'' E, 1421.27 feet; thence S 89 43'40"E,
561.40 feet: thence S 14°01'00"E, 1422.53 feet;
thence S 11~39'30"E, 43.02 feet to north line of
34th Street; thence N 89°43'40'~, 915.35 feet to
True Point of Beginning, County of Kern, State of
California. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way
for San Dimas Street.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 20th day of March, 1972, by the follow-
ing vote:
