AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SOUTH "H" STREET
AND CALCUTTA DRIVE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the Provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
southeast co~mer of South "H" Street and Calcutta Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the reco~,endations of the
Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons
advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property,
that a zoning change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-2-MH-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Mobile Home
Park - Architectural Design) Zone to an MH
(Mobile Home), Zone affecting that certain
property in the City of Bakersfield located
on the southeast corner of South "H" Street
and Calcutta Drive, being more particularly
described as follows:
All that portion of theW½ of Lot 16 of Section
18 (for purposes of this description the west
line of said Lot 16 is taken to be coincident
with the west line of said Section 18), T30S,
R28E, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, California, as shown on Sales Map No.
1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin filed May 3, 1889,
in Kern County Land Company Book of Sales
Maps at Pages 101, 102 and 103 in the Kern
County Recorder's Office, being more particu-
larly described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said
Section.18; thenceN0~00'26"W, along the
west line of said Section, 775.40 feet to
the true point of beginning which is also a
point on the westerly extension of the north
line of that parcel conveyed to the City of
Bakersfield in deed recorded May 8, 1968, in
Book 4159, Page 135, of Official Records;
thence continuing N 00° 00'26" W, along said
west line, 516.02 feet to a point on the westerly
extension of the south line of Calcutta Drive,
being the south line of Tract 3161 recorded
in Map Book 16, Page 67; thence N ~9° 51'09"
E, along said south line and westerly extension
thereof, 730.40 feet to the southeast corner
of said Tract and the east line of the W½ of said
Lot ~16; thence S 00° 00' 16" E, along said east
line, 610.40 feet to said north line of City of
Bakersfield parcel; thence N 82° 46'56" W, along
said north line and westerly extension thereof,
736.21 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way for South
"Hj' Street.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on thel2th day of June, 1972, by the following
vote:
