AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.25. 026
(USES PERMITTED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT) OF CHAPTER 17.25 (C-1 ZONES)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.25.026 is hereby amended to read as
fo 1 lows:
17.25.026 Uses Permitted Subject to Conditional Use Permit.
The following uses may be permitted subject to a conditional use
permit in accordance with the procedures provided for in Chapters
17.60 and 17.64 of this title.
1. Drive-in, walk-up and take-out restaurants.
2. Health studios.
3. Schools of dancing or musical instruction.
4. Automatic or coin-operated car washes--2 bay maximum.
5. Pet shops and small animal veterinary day clinics, wholly
within a building.
6. Nurseries- (flowers and plants).
7. Radio and television stores.
8. Undertaking establishments, mortuaries and funeral parlors.
9. Carpet, awning, blinds, mattress or upholstering shops,
including cleaning and repair, wholly within a building.
10. Furniture stores.
11. Sporting goods stores.
12. Cleaning and pressing establishments using · noninflammable
and nonexplosive cleaning fluids°
13. New and used automobile sales lots.
14. Retail automobile parts.
15. Refrigerated lockers.
16. Restaurants, including the sale of beer and wine when
served together with and incidental to the serving of
food., and where all customers are served at a table.
A separate room, bar or cocktail lounge and/or dancing
is prohibited.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of June, 1972, by the following
vote:
