AN' ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DESCRIBED
AS A 25-FOOT STRIP OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE
STINE CANAL LOCATED AT 1900 - 1924 HASTI ACRES
DRIVE AND A 454-FOOT PORTION THAT LIES NORTHERLY
OF TRACT 3413.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of thdse certain properties in the City of Bakersfield described as
a 25-foot strip of land adjacent to the Stine Canal located at
1900 - 1924 Hasti Acres Drive and a 454-foot portion that lies
northerly of Tract 3413; and
WHE, REAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should, be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain properties in said City,
the boundaries of which properness re shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries of those certain
properties in the City of Bakersfield described
as a 25-foot strip of land adjacent to the Stine
Canal located at 1900 - 1924 Hasti Acres Drive
and a 454-foot portion that lies northerly of
Tract 3413, being more particularly described
as follows:
From an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to
an R-2 (Limited Multiple F.amily Dwelling) Zone:
Lot 19, Tract 3413, City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, as per Map recorded
March 29, 1972, in Book 23, Page 101, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County.
From an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to
an R-3 (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling~ Zone:
Lots 15, 16, 17 and 18, Tract 3413, City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
as per Map recorded March 29, 1972, in Book 23,
Page 101, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County.
From an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to
a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design) Zone:
All that portion of the NW~ of Section 11, T30S,
R27E, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, California, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of
the Stine Canal right-of-way, being the north-
erly extension of the easterly line of Tract
294.2, recorded in Book 15 of Maps at Page 5,
from which point the northeasterly corner of
said Tract 2942 bears S 31016'50'' W, 630.00
feet; thence N 31o16'50'' E along said northerly
extension, 454.32 feet; thence S 58°43'10'' E,
25.00 feet; thence S 31°16'50'~, 454.32 feet;
thence N 58°43'10'~, 25.00 feet to the Point
of Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 5th day of June, 1972, by the following
vote:
