AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 3.18. 070
(TEMPORARY POSITIONS) AND 3.18. 135 (DRIVER
DIFFERENTIAL COMPENSATION--SANITATION
DIVISION--PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.18.070 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
3.18.070 Temporary Positions. The following rates shall apply
to temporary positions with the City of Bakersfield.

016 Swimming Pool Manager 3.00 per hour
018 Asst. Swimming Pool Manager 2.45 per hour
020 Lifeguard 2.10 per hour
022 Cashier 1.60 per hour
024 Official I 7.00 per game
026 Official II 5.00 per game
028 Clerical Aide 2.10 per hour
030 Scorer 3.00 per game
032 Ticket Seller 2.30 per hour
034 School Crossing Guard 2.05 per hour
036 Janitor 2.10 per hour
038 Student Motor Coach Operator 2.50 per hour
040 Police Cadet 2.00 per hour
042 Maintenanceman 2.75 per hour
SECTION 2.
Section 3.18.135 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
3.18.135 Driver Differential Compensation--Sanitation
Division--Public Works Department. Any Crewman assigned to the
duties and responsibilities of a higher Crewman classification shall
be compensated at the rate of pay of the higher Crewman classification
in the step held by the assigned employee.
SECTION 3.
This ordiance is to become effective from and after July 1,
1972, following adoption.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 24th day of July, 1972, by the following
