AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 3.22.020
(GROUP MEDICAL INSURANCE) BY ADDING SECTION
3.22.020(e) FIREFIGHTERS ' INSURANCE PLAN,
TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3.22.020 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.22.020(e) Firefighters Insurance. The City of Bakersfield,
upon request of any City firefighter, will pay to Firefighters'
Union Local Number 1301 an amount equal to that paid out in Section
(b) above for an officer or employee of the City. Such amount shall
be in place of and not in addition to any other medical insurance
paid by the City for group medical insurance. Such amoun~ are
to be utilized for medical insurance coverage as contracted for
by Local No. 1301.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance to become effective 30 days from the date
of its passage and to become operative on or after July 1, 1972,
upon the effective date.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of June, 1972, by the following
