AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 7.52.205
TO CHAPTER 7.52 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE,
CONCERNING TAXICABS AND LIMOUSINES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 7.52.205 is hereby added to Chapter 7.52
of Title 7 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
7.52.205 Chauffeured Limousine Service. A limousine, as
defined in Section 7.52.310(c) of this Chapter, shall be clearly
designated and identified as such limousine by temporary or per-
manent sign so that it shall be distinguished from taxicab use
during the time it is in limousine service. No taximeter shall
be used in any such limousine for the purpose of calculating charges
for hire, nor shall any such taximeter be visible in such vehicle.
Persons engaging the services of the limousine shall not have the
exclusive right to the full and complete use thereof but shall
share the seating capacity with additional passengers.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
