AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 2323 MT. VERNON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Co~ission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 2323 Mt. Vernon Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-3-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural
Design) Zone to an R-i-CH (Single Family Dwelling -
Church), Zone of that certain property in the
City of Bakersfield commonly known as 2323 Mt.
Vernon Avenue, being more particularly described
as follows:
The north 475 feet of the NW~ of the NW~ of the
SWIg of Section 22, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., M.D.B.M.,
EXCLUDING the northerly 175 feet of the westerly
400 feet of said NW~ and that portion of the
streets being dedicated for Mto Vernon Avenue
and Bernard Street, County of Kern, State of
California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2d day of October, 1972, by the follow-
ing vote:
