AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12. 020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the west
side of South Union Avenue, approximately 850 feet south of Pacheco
Road, known as Union Avenue No. 5 Annexation, in an MH (Mobile
Home) Zone, and in a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design) Zone,
upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described
as follows:
TO AN MH (MOBILE HOME) ZONE:
Portions of Lot 2 of the Kern County Sales Map ~1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed in May 3, 1889, in
the Office of the County Recorder of Kern County,
and being in the SE~ of the NE~ of Section 19,
T30S, R28E, M.D.B.M., and being more particularly
described as follows: (For purposes of this legal,
the east line of said Lot 2 is the centerline of
Union Avenue)· The west 100 feet of the east 360
feet of the south 462 feet of said Lot 2.
TO A C-2-D (COMMERCIAL - ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN)
ZONE:
Port. ion of Lot 2 of the Kern County Sales Map ~1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed on May 3, 1889,
in the Office of the County Recorder of Kern
County, and being in the SE~ of the NE~ of Section
19, T30S, R28E, M.D.B.M., and being more particularly
described as follows: (For purposes of this legal,
the east line of said Lot 2 is the centerline of
Union Avenue). The east 260 feet of the south 462
feet of said Lot 2.
EXCEPTING the right-of-way for Union Avenue·
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 25th day of September, 1972, by the
following vote:
