AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 14.04.340(d)
OF CHAPTER 14.04 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE,
CONCERNING SELF-SERVICE GAS STATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Subsection (d) of Section 14.04.340 of Chapter
14.04 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is
hereby amended to read as follows:
d. Self-service stations prohibited in Fire District
No. 1. No permit shall be issued for the operation of a self-
service station, and no self-service station shall be operated
Or maintained within the limits of Fire Limits District No. 1,
as said District is established by this Code.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of
September, 1972, by the following vote:
