HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2041 ORDINANCE NO. 2041 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE. MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF AKERS ROAD AND PLANZ ROAD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedures set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, 'the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the southwest corner of Akers Road and Planz Road; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change should be authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Changing the zoning boundaries of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the southwest corner of Akers Road and Planz Road, being more particularly described as follows: From an R-2-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone to an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone. Commencing at the northwest corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 14, T30S, R27E, M.D.B.M., thence south along the west line of said NE 174, 650 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence east and parallel to the north line of said NE~, a distance of 120 feet; thence south 76°, more or less, east to a point that lies 740 feet south of the north line of said NE~; thence west and parallel to the north lirm of said NE~ to the west line of said NE~; thence north along the west line of said NE~ to the Point of Beginning, City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California. From an R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone, an R-2-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwellin8 - Architectural Design~ Zone and an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Famil Dwelling - Architectural Desi8n) Zone to an R-2-Dy (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architecutral Design~, Zone: Beginning at the northwest corner of the E % of the E ½ of the E ~ of the NW~ of Section 14, T30S, R27E, M.I).B.M., thence south along the west line of said E½ of E~ of E% of Section 14, a distance of 650 feet; thence east and parallel to'the north line of said Section 14, a distance of 450 feet; thence south 76°, more or less, east to a point that lies 788 feet south of the north line of said Section 14 and 735 feet east of the west line of the NE~ of said Section 14; .thence east and parallel to Planz Road, a distance of 255 feet; thence north along the east line of the west 990 feet of said NE~ to the north line of said Section 14; thence west along the north line of said Section 14 to the Point of Beginning.
