AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
~3NICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
C}L~NGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
EASTERLY OF NEW STINE ROAD, BETWEEN BELLE
TERRACE AND NORDIC DRIVE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of' the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located easterly
of New Stine Road, between Belle Terrace and Nordic Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield. as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-3 (Limited
Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone of that certain
property in the City of Bakersfield located
easterly of New Stine Road, between Belle
Terrace and Nordic Drive, being more particularlY
described as follows:
That portion of the east half of the southeast
quarter of Section 3, T30S, R27E, M.D.M., in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, as shown on Licensed Surveyor's
Map filed July 30, 1964, in Book 8, Page 200:
Commencing at the NW corner of the E½ of the
SE~ of said Section 3; thence southerly along
the west line of said E½ of the SE~ of Section 3,
500°49 feet; thence easterly parallel with the
north line of the southeast quarter of said
Section 3, 514 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence continuing easterly along said parallel
line and the easterly eXtension thereof, 286
feet; thence northerly parallel with the west
line of the east half of the southeast quarter
of said Section 3, 500.49 feet more or less to
the north line of said southeast quarter; thence
westerly along said northerly line, 286 feet;
thence southerly parallel with said west line of
the east half of the southeast quarter of said
Section 3, a distance of 500.49 feet to'the true
point of beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the llth day of December, 1972, by the
following vote:
