AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 17.23.010 AND
17.23.020 OF, AND ADDING SECTIONS 17.23.024
AND 17.23.026 TO, CHAPTER 17.23 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE, CONCERNING ZONING REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.23.010 of Chapter 17.23 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended and the table of
contents of said Chapter 17.23 is hereby amended to conform with the
changes made by this ordinance, to read as follows:
Chapter 17.23
C-O ZONES
Sections:
17.23.010 C-O Commercial and Professional Office Zone.
17.23.020 Uses Permitted.
17.23.024 Uses Permitted Subject to Planning Director
Review and Approval.
17.23.026 Uses Permitted Subject to Conditional Use Permit.
17.23.030 Building Height.
17.23.040 Front Yard.
17.23.050 Side Yard.
17.23.060 Rear Yard.
~17.23.070 Yard Requirements.
17.23.010 C-O Commercial and Professional Office Zone. The
following reg~,lations shall apply in the C-O Commercial and Professional
Office Zone unless otherwise provided in this title.
SECTION 2.
That Section 17.23.020 of Chapter 17.23 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.23. 020 Uses Permitted.
(a) Any use permitted in the R-l, R-2, and R-3 Zones.
(b) Commercial and professional offices, excluding retail
sales of any product.
(c) The accessory buildings or structures necessary to
such use located on the same lot or parcel of land.
SECTION 3.
That Section 17.23.024 is hereby added to Chapter 17.23
of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield to read as follows:
17.23.024 Uses Permitted Subject to Planning Director Review
and Approval.
(a) Bank and saving and lending institution.
(b) Collection agency.
(c) Escrow company.
(d) Post office.
(e) prescription pharmacy.
(f) Radio broadcasting studio.
(g) Title insurance company.
(h) Trust company.
SECTION 4.
That Section 17.23.026 is hereby added to Chapter 17.23
of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield to read as follows:
17.23.026 Uses Permitted Subject to Conditional Use Permit.
(a) Bail bond office.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.
