AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE
BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield on
March 26, 1973, adopted Resolution of Intention No. 22-73, giving
due notice of intention to approve an amendment to the contract
between the City of Bakersfield and the Board of Administration,
Public Employees' Retirement System, providing for the striking
of certain words of exclusion from paragraph 3 of said contract
and substituting the exclusions set forth in "Exhibit A."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That an amendment to the Contract between the City
Council of the City of Bakersfield and the Board of Administration,
California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized,
a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit
A," and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set
out in full.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is hereby authorized
empowered and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf
of the City of Bakersfield.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of April, 1973, by the follow-
ing vote:
