AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING CHAPTER 10.58 TO TITLE
10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO
GAMBLING.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 10.58 is hereby added to Title 10 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
Chapter 10.58
GAMBLING
Sections:
10.58.010 Certain Gambling Prohibited.
10.58.060 Violation Declared Misdemeanor.
10.58.010 Certain Gambling Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for
any person to deal, play, carry on, open, or cause to be opened,
conduct, or bet at or against any game not prohibited by the laws
of the State of California, with cards, dice, or any device, for
money, checks, credit, or other token of value, on any sidewalk,
walkway, alley, street, public park, or vacant lot in the City of
Bakersfield.
10.58.060 Violation Declared Misdemeanor. The violation of any
of the provisions of this chapter is hereby declared to be a misde-
meanor.
SECTION 2.
This. ordinance shall become effective 30 days from and
after the date of its passage.

and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day April , 1973, by
