AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PACHECO ROAD AND
MONITOR STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northeast corner of Pacheco Road and Monitor Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due
consideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-2-D
(LJ~nited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architec-
tural Design) Zone to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple
Family Dwelling) Zone of that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield located on the north-
east corner of Pacheco Road and Monitor Street,
b~eing more particularly described as follows:
A portion of the SE1/4 of Section 18, T30S,
R28E, M. D. B. & M. in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the SW corner of the SE 1/4
of Section 18, T30S, R28E, said point being
the True Point of Beginning for this
description;
Thence North 00°01'40'' west along the west
line of said southeast 1/4 a distance of
335.0 feet;
Thence North 89°58'20'' east a distance of
470.0 feet;
Thence South 00°01'40'' east a distance of
150.0 feet;
Thence North 89o58'20'' east a distance of
95.0 feet;
Thence South 00°01'40'' east a distance of
185.0 feet more or less to a point on the
south line of the southeast 1/4 of said
Section 18;
Thence South 89°50'24'' West along said
south line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 18 a distance of 565 feet more or
less to the True Point of Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day of March, 1973, by
the following vote:
