HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2096 ORDINANCE NO. 2096 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 5.32.080 (SERVICE FURNISHED BY CITY) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 5.32.080 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows: 5.32.080 Service Furnished By City. Rental of the auditorium at the rates herein provided shall not entitle the permittee to any personnel se~ice in connection with the staging of the event or attraction for which the permit is issued, provided, however, that the Manager may, at his discretion, furnish, at no extra cost to permittee, the services of those employees of the City who are regularly employed as a part of the auditorium staff, but such services shall not include extra services as set forth in the Council resolution establishing a schedule of rentals. Permittee shall reimburse the City for, or pay the salaries of, all other employees required in connection with the event or attraction, including the salaries of a]_l stage employees, spot light operators, projection- ists, ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers, cashiers, doormen and guards. Whenever persons who are not regularly employed as a part of the auditorium staff, are retained by the Manager, to provide casual services for events or attractions at the Civic Auditorium as stage employees, spot light operators, projectionists, ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers, cashiers, doormen, guards, addi- tional set-up and clean-up people, etc., they shall not be subject to the ordinary hiring and terminating procedures pertaining to regular or temporary employees of the City, but shall be retained in accordance with administrative rules and regulations established specifically for that purpose. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from and after the date of its passage. - -- 000 ..........
