HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2118 ORDINANCE NO. ~118 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE ~INICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED EAST OF LARSON ROAD AND WEST OF AGATE STREET. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council' have held hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain, property in the City of Bakersfield located east of Larson Road and west of Agate Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change should be authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2 (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone, and to an R-3 (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling) Zone, of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located East of Larson Road and West of Agate Street, being more particularly described as fo 1 lows: From an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone: · Beginning at the Southwest corner of Tract 2335 as shown on Map of said Tract recorded March 24, 1970, in Book 11 of Maps, Page 63 in the office of the County Recorder; thence North 89°54'50'' West, along the South line of the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 12, 567.39 feet; thence South 00001'46'' East, 670.00 feet; thence North 89°54'17'' West, 263.96 feet to a point in the Easterly right-of-way line of Larson Lane, 60 feet wide; thence South 12°10'12'' East' along said Easterly right-of-way line, 327.99 feet; thence South 89 54'43" East along the south line of ~the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of 'the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 12, 765.33 feet to a point in the West line of Tract No. 2521 as shown on Map of said Tract recorded July 12, 1961, in Book 12 of Maps, Page 20 in the office of the County Recorder; thence North 00o01'52'' West along said West line of Tract No. 2521, 330.30 feet to the Northwest corner of said Tract No. 2521; thence North 00017'08'' West 660.21 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the easterly 180 feet. From an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Tract No. 2335 as shown on Map of said Tract recorded March 24, 1970, in Book 11 of Maps, Page 63 in the office of the County Recorder; thence North 89o54'50'' West, along the South line of North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 12, 180 feet; thence South 00° 17'08" East, to the South line of the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 12; thence South 89°54'43'' East along said South line to a point on the West line of Tract No. 2521 as shown on Map of said Tract recorded July 12, 1961 in Book 12 of Maps, Page 20 in the office of the County Recorder; thence North 00o01'52'' West along said West line 330.30 feet to the Northwest corner of said Tract No. 2521; thence South 89°54'17'' East along the North line of said Tract No. 2521; 115.362 feet to the West line of Agate Street; thence North 00o05'25'' West along a line 60 feet westerly of the East line of Agate Street, 660.22 feet to the South line of said Tract No. 2335; thence North 89o54'52'' West along the South line of said Tract No. 2335 to the Point of Beginning. -o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of August, 1973, by the follow- ing vote: A~!S: COUNCILMEN BLEECKER, HE)SEY, MEDDERS, ~, STRONG, THOMAS, WHITTEMORE NOES.
