AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF AKERS ROAD AND
MING AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
southeast co~er of Akers Road and Ming Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recorf~endations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to a C-2-D (Com-
mercial - Architectural Design) Zone of that
certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located on the southeast corner of Akers Road
and Ming Avenue being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
The West 349' of the North 200' of Lot 4 in
Sect:ion 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East,
M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, according to the
"Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land
Company," filed January 25, 1894, in the
Office Qf the County Recorder of said County.
EXCEPTING the R/W for Ming 'Avenue.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 27th day of August, 1973, by the
following vote:
