AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City coUncil have held
hearings respectively, on motion to zone certain property now being
annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission,
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing
for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW:, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located within the
west half of Section 15, T30S, R27E, between Fraser Road on the
north and Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks on the south, known as
Stockdale No. 6 Annexation, in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone;
in an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing - Architectural Design) Zone; and
in an M-2 (General Manufacturing) Zone, upon the annexation of said
property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property
are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance,
and are more specifically described as follows:
To an R-1 {One Family Dwelling) Zone:
The NW~ of Section 15, Township 30 South, Range 27
East, M.D.B.& M.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Southerly 113.5'.
To an M-1-D ('Light Manufacturing - ArchitectUral Design) Zone:
The North 1,848.5' of the South 2,763' of the W~ of
Section 15, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M.
To an M-2 {General Manufacturing) Zone:
The South 914.5' of the SW~ of Section 15, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion that lies Southerly
of the Northerly R/W line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 24th day of September, 1973, by the
