AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 3.18. 060 OF,
AND ADDING SECTION 3.18.136 TO, CHAPTER 3.18
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, DELETING AND ADDING
CLASS TITLES AND PROVIDING HAZARD DUTY PAY
FOR POLICE PATROLMAN ASSIGNED MOTORCYCLE
DUTY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3.18.060 of Chapter 3.18 of Title 3 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by
deleting the class title of Traffic Officer and its allocation of
salary range from the Police Group and by adding at the appropriate
location the following class title and its allocation of salary
range to the Police Group, as follows:
127 A Senior Police
Patrolman 5.026 5.279 5.544 5.826 6.121
SECTION 2.
That Section 3.18.060 of Chapter 3.18 of Title 3 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by
deleting the class title of Administrative Secretary and its alloca-
tion of salary range, from the Office Group.
SECTION 3.
That Section 3.18.060 of Chapter 3.18 of Title 3 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by
deleting the class titles of Assistant Recreation Manager, Assistant
Recreation Director and Deputy Police Chief, and their allocations
of salary range, from the Executive Support GrOup and'by adding at
the appropriate locations the following class titles and their
allocations of salary range, to the Executive Support Group:
801 C Executive Aide 291.20 306.00 321.28 337.60 354.96
803 D Assistant
Auditorium-
Recreation
Manager 581.28 610.40 641.60 673.76 707.76
SECTION 4.
That Section 3.18.136 is hereby added to Chapter 3.18 of
Title 3 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield to read
as follows:
3.18.136 Hazard Duty Pay - Police GrouR. Any patrolman assigned
to two-wheel motorcycle duty shall be compensated an additional
thirty-five dollars per month for the performance of such duty.
Such additional compensation shall accrue only when any assignment
to two-wheel motorcycle duty shall have been performed for a period
of one month. After accrual of such additional pay, it may be pro-
rated for the period of duty under such assignment of less than one
month.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
