AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 3.18.190(b)(2)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, PROVIDING FOR ANNUAL
VACATION LEAVE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3.18.190(b)(2) of Chapter 3.18 of Title 3
of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(2) All eligible employees of the Police Department shall
earn and take vacation leave on the basis of working days. Accrual
of vacation leave shall be at the following rate:
A. First four years: .385 of a working day bi-weekly to
yield ten working days annually.
B. Five through nineteen years: .577 of a working day
bi-weekly to yield fifteen working days annually.
C. Twenty years or more: .770 of a working day bi-weekly to
yield twenty working days annually.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage. Accrual of vacation at the rates
herein specified shall begin as of January 1, 1974.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the l?th day of December , 1973, by the
