AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth
in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have
held hearings respectively, on motion to zone certain property
now being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission,
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for
the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries Of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located southerly of
Rosedale Higb~ay, westerly of existing City boundary, easterly of
Gibson Street and northerly of existing City boundary, known as
Rosedale No. 1 Annexation, in a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural
Design) Zone, and to an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing - Architectural
Design) Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of
Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map
.hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more
specifically described as follows:
To a C-2-D (Commercial - Architectural Design) Zone:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State
of California, and being a portion of the Northwest
quarter.of Section 26, Township 29 South, Range 27
East, M.D.B.& M., and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the southeast
quarter, of the northwest quarter of said Section 26,
said point being in the Corporate Boundary of the
City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary,
northerly, along the west line of the east half of
said northwest quarter, 995.75 feet more or less,
to intersect the south right-of-way line of Burr
Road, of 60 feet in width;
Thence (2) easterly along the last-named south
right-of-way line to intersect the east line of the
west 20 feet of the east half of the northwest quarter
of said Section 26;
Thence (3) northerly along the last-named east line
1622 feet more or less to intersect the south line
of the north 30 feet of said northwest quarter, said
point being in the south right-of-way line of Rosedale
Highway, of 110 feet in width;
Thence (4) easterly along last-named south line
parallel to and distant 30 feet south as measured at
right angles to the north line of said northwest
quarter, 369.80 feet to a point;
Thence (5) continuing easterly in a direct line and
along the south right-of-way line of Rosedale Highway
to intersect the west line of the east 466.7 feet of
the said northwest quarter, said point being distance
29.34 feet south as measured along the last-named
west line from the north line of said northwest
quarter, said last-named point being in the Corporate
Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (6) southerly and along the various courses of
the said Corporate Boundary to the point of beginning;
EXCLUDING the:
West 389.8 feet, more or less, of the north 933.4 feet
of above-described parcel.
To an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing - Architectural Design)
Zone: ·
The west 409.8 feet, more or less, of the north 963.4
feet of the east one-half of the northwest one-quarter
of Section 26, Township 29 South, Range 27 East,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the north 30 feet and the west
20 feet dedicated to Kern County for street and
highway.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon the annexa-
tion of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the l~h day of December, 1973, by the
following vote:
