AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020
OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE
I~3NICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
zone certain ]property now being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That; Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
that certain property in the County of Kern located between Beale
Avenue and Freeway #178 and northerly of Jefferson Street, known
as Beale No. 3 Annexation, in a C-1 (Limited Commercial) Zone upon
the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically
described as follows:
To a C-1 (Limited 'Commercial) Zone:
Ail of Lots 22 through 30 of Block 34 in Drury's
Addition to Kern, as per Map filed April 27,
1893, in Book 1 of Maps, Page 41, in the Office
of the County Recorder of Kern County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion that lies within
the R/W for Freeway #178.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of December, 1973, by the follow-
ing vote:
