AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD. AMENDING SECTION 16.16.010 (A)
AND (B)~OF CHAPTER 16.16 OF TITLE 16 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING SUBDIVISION REGU-
I2%T IONS i
BE IT ORD~%INED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECT ION 1.
That Section 16.16.010 (A) and (B), Chapter 16.16 of Title
16 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended
to read as follows' ~
16.16.010 Time ~f Filing Final Map--Extension of Time--Accompanying
Data--Plans and Profiles--Checking Fee.
(A) Within a Period of 18 months after the date of approval or
conditional approva! of the tentative map by the Planning Commission,
the subdivider may cause the subdivision, or any part thereof, to be
surveyed and a finaI map thereof to be prepared in accordance ~With
the tentative map as approved, and within said period, unless
extended by the Planning Commission, he shall file with the
Planning Commission~a final map of the subdivision conforming in
all particulars to the provisions of the Map Act and of this title.
(B) Upon application of the subdi~fider an extension of not
exceeding two years imay be granted by the Planning Commission. In.
the event the Planning Commission denies a subdivider's application
for extension, the Subdivider may appeal to the City Council under
Section 16.28.020 of this title. Any failure to record a final map
within 18-months fr~om the approval or conditional approval of the
tentative map or any extension thereof, slhall terminate all proceedings.
Before a final map =ay thereafter be recorded, a new tentative map
shall be submitted.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 25th day of February, 1974, by the
following vote:
