AN ORDINANCE AME*NDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
I~3NICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 7100 STOCKDALE HIGHWAY.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield commonly known
as 7100 Stockdale Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Co~ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-i-Ch
(One Family Dwelling - Church) Zone, of that
certain property the City of Bakersfield
commonly known as 7100 Stockdale Highway,
being more particularly described as follows:
Ail that portion of Section 33, Township 29
South, Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Meridian,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 7 of the
Record of Surveys at Page 74, in the Office of
the County Recorder of said County, described
as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the parcel
of land described in deed recorded March 1,
1955, in Book 2378, Page 178, of Official
Records of said County; thence North 0 degrees
17 minutes 00 seconds East along the west line of
said parcel of land, 37.78 feet to the north line
of existing Stockdale Highway, as said Highway
existed on April 1, 1963, which point is the True
Point of Beginning of this description; thence
continuing North 0 degrees 17 minutes 00 seconds
East, 204.88 feet to the northwest corner of said
parcel of land; thence South 89 degrees 43 minutes
00 seconds East, 225.02 feet to the northeast corner
of said parcel of land; thence South 29 degrees 36
minutes 25 seconds West, along the southeasterly
line of said parcel of land, 234.73 feet to said
north line of existing Stockdale Highway; thence
South 89 degrees 50 minutes 08 seconds East, along
said north line, 114.78 feet to a point on the west
line of that parcel of land shown on a map recorded
January 16, 1951 in Book 6, Page 69 of Record of
Surveys of said County; thence North 29 degrees
36 minutes 25 seconds East, along said last men-
tioned west line, 459.35 feet; thence North 26
degrees 42 minutes 00 seconds East, continuing
along said west line, 183.87 feet; thence North 89
degrees 43 minutes 00 seconds West, parallel with
the south line of said section, 1059.77 feet; thence
South 0 degrees 17 minutes 00 seconds West, 566.73
feet to a point on said north line of existing
Stockdale Highway; thence South 89 degrees 50
minutes 08 seconds East, along said north line
of existing Stockdale Highway, 528.21 feet to
the True Point of Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 4th day of February, 1974, by the
following vote:
