HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2166 ORDINANCE NO. 216~6 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City. Council have held hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to zone certain property now being annexed to said City, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of the motion and the recoi~lendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the east side of Chester Avenue, approximately 600 feet north of West Columbus Street, and known as San Dimas No. 4 Annexation, in an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing-Architectural Design) Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: To an M-1-D (Light Manufacturing-Architectural Design) Zone: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of the southwest quarter of Section 18, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M., and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the centerline intersection of West Columbus Street, formerly 42nd Street, and Chester Avenue, said intersection bears N 75°19'38'' East 769.88 feet from the southwest corner of said Sec- tion 18, as shown on a map entitled "Metropolitan Recreation Center Proposed Lease to the Junior Base- ball Association," being a map number 9 P 1MRC .le Mi, as filed in the Office of the County Surveyor of said Kern County, thence N 00° 17'12" East along the centerline of said Chester Avenue and Northerly prolongation thereof, 651.75 feet; thence S 89042' 48" East 57.75 feet, to intersect the East right-of- way line of said Chester Avenue, said last-named point being the Northwest corner of Block 699, Northern Division, as shown on a map entitled, "Northern Division of the Town of Bakersfield," filed April 26, 1889, in Book 1 of Maps, at Page 21, Kern County Records, said last-named point being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield and also the true point of beginning; Thence (1) departing from said Corporate Boundary, N 00°17'12'' East, along the East right-of-way line of said Chester Avenue, 240.02 feet; Thence (2~ departing from said East right-of-way ~line S 69 55'24" East, 403.14 feet; Thence (3) S 31°44'58'' East, 57.97 feet; Thence (4) S 54°40'22'' West, 88.5 feet, more or less, to intersect the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (5) Westerly, along the said Corporate Boundary, to the true point of beginning; Containing 1.49 acres, more or less. SECTION 2.
