AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY 0¥ BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE WEST SIDE OF DRAKE STREET IN THE NORTH
HALF OF THE 2400 BLOCK.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
west side of Drake Street in the north half of the 2400 block; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the reco~mL~endations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (One
Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-1-P-D (One Family
Dwelling - Parking - Architectural Design) Zone
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located on the west side of Drake Street in the
north half of the 2400 block, being more particu-
larly described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Block 469-D of the Map
of the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, according to Map filed November 25,
1898; together with the south half of vacated 25th
Street adjoining said lots on the north.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed~
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of April, 1974, by the follow-
ing vote:

19 74 , he posted on the Bulletin Board at the City Hall, a full,
true and correct copy of an ordinance passed by the Council of said
City at a meeting thereof duly held on April 22 , 19 74 ,
which ordinance was numbered 2185 New Series, and
entitled:
