RESOLUTION NO. 1 5 6 - 0 6
A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY
SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
NEGOTIATE ITS SALE
WHEREAS, the City owns a fee simple interest in property north of Taft
Highway, east of Ashe Road; and,
WHEREAS, California Department of Transportation, the State of California has
requested the City sell this property described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit 'B"
attached hereto to widen and install turning lanes.
WHEREAS, Planning Department has found the sale of this property to be
consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan pursuant to Government
Code Section 65402.
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale
of City property deemed to be "surplus".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:

The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct, and incorporated

Road hereby declared surplus to the City's needs and the Finance Director is
authorized to negotiate its sale. The real property is more fully described in Exhibits "A"
and "B" attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth.

A portion of Section 33, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Meridian and Baseline,
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast Corner of said Section;
THENCE (1) North 89°10'18" West, along the south line of said Section, 471.701 meters;
THENCE (2) North 0°25'31" East, 20.116 meters;
THENCE (3) South 89°10'18' East, 428.225 meters;
THENCE (4) North 81°43'40' East, 22.653 meters;
THENCE (5) North 27°02'58" East, 26.640 meters;
THENCE (6) South 89°34'28" East, 9.144 meters to the east line of said Section;
THENCE (7) South 0°25'32" West, along said east line 47.662 meters to the POINT OF
BEGINNING;
TOGETHER WITH underlying fee interest, if any, contiguous to the above-described property in
and to State Route 119 and Ashe Road.
Containing 0.530 hectares, more or less, in addition to that portion included within State Route 119
and Ashe Road.
The bearings and distances used in this description are on the California Coordinate System of
1983, Zone 5. Divide distances by 0.9999512324 to convert to ground distances.
This real property description has been prepared by me, or under my direction, in conformance
with the Professional Land Surveyors Act.
