ACTION TAKEN
DEPARTMENT BUDGET PRESENTATIONS
a. Recreation and Parks Department.
Recreation and Parks Director Stan Ford made
introductory comments, provided written material
and introduced assistant Recreation Superintendent
Henry Shipes who provided a brief overview of the
Recreation department; and Assistant
Superintendent Mike Doyle who provided a brief
overview of the Parks depadment.
Salvaggio requested Recreation and Parks staff
meet with representatives of the Greenfield
School District, between now and the time the
budget is adopted, to discuss the recreational
program and it's implementation.
McDermott requested staff review and include
after school programs for other school districts
that were not listed prior to coming back with a
final recommendation.
DeMond requested staff review the feasibility of
programs in her Ward..
Mayor Price recessed the meeting at 2:05 p.m. and
reconvened at 2:15 p.m.

b. Public Works Department.
Public Works Director Raul Rojas dedicated the
upcoming fiscal year to the memory of Ed Kuhen and
Gerry Claassen, long time City employees; provided
a brief overview and distributed written material; and
introduced Civil Engineer Ted Wright who provided a
brief overview of the Capital Improvement Program
Budget.
Economic/Community Development Department
Economic Development Director Jake Wager
provided a brief presentation and distributed written
material; and introduced Business Manager Alan
Christensen who provided a brief department
overview; and introduced Development Associate
Donna Barnes who provided a brief Economic
Development presentation; and introduced
Development Associate Bret Halgren who provided
a brief Community Development presentation.
Development Services
Development Services Director Jack Hardisty
provided a brief overview and submitted written
material; and Dennis Fidler provided a brief progress
report regarding Code Enforcement.
