HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2923ORDINANCE NO. 2923 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING PREZONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS WIBLE NO. 5 ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain proerty now being annexed to said City and made several general and specific findings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental environmental impact which could result from this zoning action; and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning, with the recommended limits on density, should be authorized upon annexa- tion of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: A. That Section 17.06.020 of Chapter 17.06 of the City of Bakersfield, Map) of the Municipal Code same (Zoning be and the is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield including and east of Wible Road known as the WIBLE NO. 5 ANNEXATION in a C-2 (Commercial) Zone upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this Ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO A C-2: A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Sections 1 and 2, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of said Section 1 which bears North 00000'00" East a distance of 702.8 feet from the southwest corner of said Section 1, said point being a point on the existing Corpor- ate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield, and the Point of Beginning for this description; Thence (1) North 89056'26" West along the last named Corporate Boundary a distance of 50.00 feet to a point on the west right-of- way line of Wible Road; Thence (2) departing said Corporate Boundary North 00000'00" East along the last named west right-of-way line a distance of 617.82 feet; Thence (3) South 89o57'33" East a distance of 718.07 feet; Thence (4) South 19°39'35" East a distance of 143.39 feet; Thence (5) 05o14'38" East a distance of 301.90 feet; Thence (6) North 89o56'26" West a distance of 45.97 feet to a point on a tangent curve to the east having a radius of 50 feet; Thence (7) last named 214o39,19,, westerly and southerly along the curve through a central angle of an arc length of 187.322 feet; Thence (8) South 02057'45" West a distance of 193.86 feet; Thence (9) South 89o56'26" East a distance of 132.02 feet; Thence (10) South 00°09'19" West a distance of 75.50 feet to a point on the existing Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (11) westerly and northerly along the last named Corporate Boundary to the Point of Beginning.
