NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SUBSECTION D. TO SECTION
16.32.020 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO SECURITY FOR SUBDIVISION
IMPROVEMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Subsection D. is hereby added to Section 16.32.020 of
the Bakersfield Municipal Code to read as follows:
16.32.020 Security Required.
D. A lien on the property to be divided or other real
property, as the City Engineer finds acceptable, pursuant to a
lien contract in a form approved by the City Attorney; provided,
however, that such form of security may only be available to a
subdivider when the City Engineer finds that it would not be in
the public interest to require the installation of the required
improvements sooner than three years after recordation of the
map.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
