Home My WebLink AboutORD NO 2931EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 2931 NEW SERIES AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ESTABLISHING SEWER USER CHARGES AND FEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2927 New Series, effective July 27, 1984, amended Section 14.12.380 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code to provide that sewer user charges and fees be set by ordinance for each fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the fees and charges set forth in the attached Exhibit "A", incroporated herein by this reference, are sufficient to recover to the City the reasonable costs of providing sewage services, including the component costs thereof specified in Section 14.12.380 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, for fiscal year 1984-85; and WHEREAS, the County of Kern must receive the schedule of charges and fees established hereby on or before August 10, 1984, in order that the sewer user charges set forth therein be collected by the Tax Collector of the County of Kern; and WHEREAS, this ordinance is an emergency ordinance, as defined in Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakersfield, for the preservation of the public health and property and provid- ing funding necessary for the daily operation of the City's Water Resources Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. The findings set forth hereinabove are true and correct and the sewer user charges, surcharges znd fees set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, are hereby established pursuant to Section 14.12.380 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code for fiscal year 1984-85. SECTION 2. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency ordinance pursuant to Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakersfield and shall become effective immediately upon its passage. .......... o0o ..........
