HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2960ORDINANCE NO. 2960 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING PRE?~T~'~ ~ D~'F~ wT~WN AS REAL NO, City of WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfie]d, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said City and made several general and specific find- ings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environ- mental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears environmental impact which could and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on fi]e, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Bakersfield as follows: correct. A. All the foregoing to be no substantial detrimental result from this zoning action; recitals are found to be true and Negative Declaration for this zoning action is B. The hereby approved and adopted. That Section 17.06.020 of Map) of same is Chapter 17.06 (Zoning the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield and at the southwest corner of Freeway 99 and Ming Avenue, known as the REAL NO. 5 ANNEXATION, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO AN R-1 (ONE-FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, being a por- tion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 11; Thence S00°34'09"W, 520.60 feet; Thence S88°50'11"E, 30.00 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 8 as shown on Tract NO. 2720, recorded on June 15, 1962, in Map Book 12 at Page 196, said corner being a point in the existing exterior Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield and the True Point of Beginning; Thence (1) Clockwise along said exterior Corporate Boundary, completely cir- cumscribing the parcel of land herein described to the True Point of Beginning. Said parcel also being described as a portion of said Tract No. 2720 and Tract No. 2628 recorded on November 24, 1961, in Map Book 12 at Page 105, as said Tracts are recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County. Containing 17.4 Acres, more or less. This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield. .......... o0o ..........
