AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD MODIFYING SEWER CONNECTION
CHARGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2927 New Series, effective
July 27, 1984, amended Section 14.12.380 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code to provide that sewer user charges and fees be
set by ordinance for each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Emergency Ordinance No. 2931 New Series,
established sewer connection charges for Fiscal Year 1984-85;
and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the sewer
connection charges set forth in Emergency Ordinance No. 2931
New Series should be adjusted as specified herein; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the City's construction pro-
gram for expanding and upgrading Waste Water Treatment Plant
Number 3, the sewer connection fees can be adjusted or provide~
herein and be consistent with the bonded funding and financing
required for such program; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance is an emergency ordinance, as
defined in Section 24 of the Charter of the City of Bakersfield,
for the preservation of the public health and property and pro-
viding funding necessary for the daily operation of the City's
Water Resources Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
