HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2967ORDINANCE NO. 2967 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY ¢)F BAKERSFIELD REGARDING PREZONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS HARRIS NO. 4 ANNEXATION. City of WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said City and made several general and specific find- ings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environ- mental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental environmental impact which could result from this zoning action; and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Bakersfield as follows: A. All the foregoing recitals are found to be true and correct. B. The Negative Declaration for this zoning action is hereby approved and adopted. C. That Section 17.06.020 of Chapter 17.06 Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of (Zoning be and the said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield and at the northeast corner of Stine and Harris Roads, and on the east side of Stine Road approximately ],000 feet north. of ~arris Road, known as the HARRIS NO. 4 ANNEXAT'ION, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of! which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO AN R-S (RESIDENTIAL SUBURBAN) ZONE A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, being a por- tion of the west half o~ Section 23, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, N.D.B.M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the west 30 feet o~ ~{.9 qect]on 23 with the south line of the r~orth 30 feet of the south half of said Section, said intersection being a point in the existing exterior Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence, clockwise along said exterior Corporate boundary, completely cir- cumscribinq the parcel of land herein described, to the Point of Beginning. Excluding Parcel ] of Parcel Map 2960 recorded August 1~, 1975, in Parcel Map Book 14 at Page 39 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder, and Excluding Lot 1 of Tract 3270 recorded April 30, 1971, in Map Book 21 at Page 72 in the Office of the Kern County I~ecorder. Containin~ 25.93 acres, more or less. TO AN R-1 C-B (SINGLE FAMILY - CHIJRCH) ZONE Parcel 1 of Au~just 14, Page 3Q in Recorder. Parcel Map 2960 recorded 1975, in Parcel Map Book 14 at the Office of the Kern County Containing 1.92 acres, more or less. TO A C-1 (LIMITED COMMERCIAL) ZONE Lot 1 of Tract 32'70 recorded April 30, 1971, in Map Book 21 at Page ?2 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder. Containing ].2 acres, more or less.
